  • 1 ½ cups of water
  • Cornstarch – this is optional for thickening

You can also include any essential oils you want to get a variety of delicious smells.

3. Hair Rinse

You will need the following.

  • 1 Organic Lemon
  • 1 Organic Cucumber

Making this hair rinse is so easy. Simply peel the cucumber and lemon, and put them in a blender. Mix this to the desired consistency. It is simply great for hair and it’s that easy.

4. Deep Conditioner

You will need the following.

  • ½ of a mashed ripe avocado
  • ½ tsp olive oil.
  • 3 drops of lavender or rosemary essential oils.

Mix all of the ingredients together. You must then use the mixture right away. Leave the mixture in the hair for around 10 minutes.

5. Oil Hair-Conditioning Treatment

You will need the following.

  • 2-4 tablespoons of jojoba, olive, or coconut oil
  • Essential oils of choice (optional)

Procedure

Warm the base oil and mix in any other essential oils. You can use a glass jar set in a pot of hot water to do this.

Dampen hair. For longer or thicker hair, use 1 to 2 teaspoons of the oil mixture. For hair that is short or fine, use only 1/4 teaspoon of the mixture. You can also choose what’s best for your hair by using as much as you feel is right.

Heat will facilitate the conditioning processes so if you can, sit in the sun. Leave on for 1 to 2 hours and then shampoo out and rinse.

Shaving Cream

You will need the following.

  • Shea Butter – 4 tbsp
  • Coconut Oil – use sustainable coconut oil – 3 tbsp
  • Sweet almond oil – 2 tbsp
  • Pure essential oil – lavender is the best – around 10 – 12 drops

Procedure

Set up a glass bowl over a pot of simmering hot water. Turn down to the lowest heat, add shea butter and coconut oil, and let them melt. Once melted remove from heat. Add almond oil and essential oils and stir.

Place in the fridge to solidify. When the mixture has hardened, mix with a handheld mixer until it is the texture of frosting. Leave to settle for 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
